Laura Warren is the director and primary facilitator for the Dyslexia Correction Center in Lubbock, Texas. She has been licensed and certified through Davis Dyslexia Association International since 2000. A graduate of Texas Tech University, she has a Texas Teacher's Certificate and twenty years experience with Lubbock Independent School District. Having observed students with learning disabilities and the successes of those who had completed Davis Dyslexia Correction® Programs in California, Laura pursued a career in dyslexia correction, and brought the program to West Texas.
In addition to providing dyslexia correction programs, Laura holds two other certifications through Davis Dyslexia Association International. In 2004 she became a Davis Learning Strategies® Mentor and a Davis Learning Strategies® Workshop Presenter Laura says, "The highlight of my career came when I was asked to complete my Presenter training in Iceland. Iceland is a "Davis country" with Davis Learning Strategies being used in every school. What a treat to have been part of a global mission!"
Those who know Laura describe her as a professional with sterling character, a charming personality, loving heart, and engaging sense of humor. She works well with children and adults alike and stays busy with a husband, two sons, and a daughter-in-law. When she is not busy with a client, friends, or family, Laura is involved in various community projects.
Professional services described as Davis®, Davis Dyslexia Correction®, Davis Symbol Mastery®, Davis Orientation Counseling®, and Davis Math Mastery® may only be provided by persons who are employed by a licensed Davis Specialist, or who are trained and licensed as Davis Facilitators by Davis Dyslexia Association International.
