Ron Davis, author of The Gift of Learning, and The Gift of Dyslexia, found a way to quickly and easily eliminate common perceptual distortions responsible for his own dyslexia. In 1980, at age 38, he read and enjoyed a book for the first time without struggling. Mr. Davis worked with experts in many fields and conducted clinical research which lead to an effective and innovative approach for correcting dyslexia in children and adults.
In 1982, Ron Davis and Dr. Fatima Ali, Ph.D. opened the Reading Research Council Dyslexia Correction Center in Burlingame, California, to help others to overcome their learning differences. Davis Dyslexia Association International began offering rigorous training in 1995 so that others could provide the same program. There are more than 450 individuals worldwide providing Davis Dyslexia Correction® programs.
